I love old French table silver, particularly when I find a complete set. These six matching spreaders are perfect for soft cheeses, butter or preserves. Elegant but not precious, they are beautiful enough for the table and useful enough for everyday.

Collected Along the Way

I found these at a rainy Saturday sidewalk brocante in the Marais. The young woman selling them was proud of her things and had a wonderful eye. She took her time showing me the pieces she thought were special. These six came home with me.
